This policy explains what Sortino collects, why, who processes it, and the choices you have. “Sortino,” “we,” and “us” refer to Sortino LLC, the operator of sortino.app. Questions or requests: hello@sortino.app.
Sortino is operated by Sortino LLC, based in the State of Wyoming, USA. It is an AI discipline coach for traders — not a broker, adviser, or financial institution. You can reach us at hello@sortino.app with any questions about this policy.
Information you give us: your first name, email address, age range, and your answers to the trader self-assessment.
Collected automatically: basic, aggregate usage analytics (pages viewed, referring source) and your IP address. Your IP is used transiently to rate-limit abuse and is not stored against your profile.
At launch, if you connect an account: a broker-issued read-only (“investor”) password and the read-only trade history it exposes. Sortino watches this history to coach you; it can never place, modify, or close a trade.
To generate your discipline profile, to send you the confirmation and early-access emails you signed up for, and to operate, secure, and improve the service. We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data, and we do not use it for third-party advertising.
Where the law requires a legal basis (for example under UK/EU GDPR), we rely on: your consent for the early-access emails and the AI analysis of your answers (withdrawable any time); performance of a contract to give you the profile and service you asked for; and our legitimate interests in keeping the service secure and making it better.
Your self-assessment answers are sent to a third-party AI processing provider for the single purpose of producing your discipline profile. They are not used to train third-party models, and we send only what the analysis needs — never your name or email alongside them.
We rely on a small set of vetted third-party providers to run Sortino — by category: cloud hosting and database infrastructure, email delivery, product analytics, and AI processing. Each processes data only to provide its service to us, under its own data-protection and security commitments. We can share our current list of these sub-processors on request at hello@sortino.app.
Some of our providers operate in other countries, including the United States, so your data may be processed outside where you live. Where the law requires it, we rely on appropriate safeguards (such as standard contractual clauses) to protect it in transit and at rest.
We use a third-party analytics service to understand traffic. It sets analytics cookies and records events such as page views and sign-ups. We do not send your name or email to analytics. You can block analytics cookies in your browser at any time.
We keep your data for as long as you are on the waitlist or a user, and remove it when you ask us to or after a prolonged period of inactivity. Transient records like rate-limiting data and email delivery logs are kept only briefly. Every email carries a one-click unsubscribe. To access or delete everything we hold about you, reply to any email or write to hello@sortino.app — deletion covers your waitlist record, your answers, and your profile.
Depending on where you live (for example the EEA, the UK, or California), you may have rights to access, correct, delete, port, or object to the processing of your data, and to withdraw consent at any time. Contact us and we will honour them. You also have the right to complain to your local data-protection authority.
Your data is stored with access restricted to our server-side functions; the app never exposes it directly. At launch, broker credentials are encrypted at rest, never shared, and deletable in-app with one tap. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your data with measures appropriate to its sensitivity.
Sortino is for adults only (18+). We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
